As a third-generation contractor, Glenn's roots in the construction industry run deep, having practically grown up on job sites, he has accumulated over 35 years of hands-on experience. In 2014, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey, thus founding EXT Construction, Inc. Since its inception, Glenn has meticulously nurtured its growth, fostering a culture of excellence and assembling a team of highly skilled and committed individuals. Beyond his professional pursuits, Glenn finds joy in various activities, such as golfing, spending time with friends and family, and traveling back to the city of Boone, where his journey began. Boone holds a dear place in Glenn’s heart, serving as a haven for reflection and a gateway to fond memories of his upbringing.

After a series of career transitions spanning both the corporate and non-profit sectors, Margaret found her ultimate professional fulfillment within the folds of her family enterprise, now under the adept leadership of her son, Glenn. The origin of this venture traces back to the early 1980s, when Margaret’s late husband, Emory Johnston, laid the groundwork starting a humble window business. Witnessing its evolution into what it is today fills Margaret with immense pride. In her current role, she oversees our financial operations and human resources, ensuring the continued success and growth of her cherished family legacy.

Allison is the Department Head of the Steep-Slope Roofing and Siding divisions at EXT Construction, specializing in regional commercial projects and multi-family dwellings. With twenty years of experience, Allison's career in construction began alongside Glenn. Here at EXT Construction, she oversees material and equipment deliveries, product installations, crew safety, and project timelines. Known for her excellent relationships and communication with contractors and crews, she ensures smooth operations and successful project completions. Allison lives by the mantra "Work Hard, Play Hard." In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her hound dog, Bryson. You'll find her at dinners, cookouts, Carolina Hurricanes games, hiking, or relaxing by the pool.

Kevin serves as the Department Head for Commercial Low-slope Membrane Roofing and Steep-slope Metal Roofing divisions. His expertise spans across TPO roofing, sheet metal flashing and trim, and standing seam metal roofing scopes on all commercial projects. When Kevin joined EXT Construction, he brought with him a meticulous approach to detail and a commitment to superior material quality and workmanship, which are very critical attributes in the roofing industry. His foremost goal is to ensure projects are not only completed promptly but also adhere strictly to manufacturer standards. Outside of his professional endeavors, Kevin enjoys spending time with his two children, playing various musical instruments, sporting events, concerts, and exploring the vibrant offerings of Raleigh and its surroundings.

Troy is the Flooring Department Head at EXT Construction, Inc, bringing valuable partnerships with major suppliers such as Mohawk, Shaw, Engineered Floors, William M. Bird, and many others. With over 8 years of industry experience, Troy ensures that your project is in capable hands, leading a team dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and quality workmanship. Since joining EXT Construction, Troy has made significant contributions to the company, leveraging his expertise to streamline operations and enhance client satisfaction. He is known for his commitment to excellence and his ability to foster strong relationships with both suppliers and customers. Outside of work, Troy enjoys golfing and spending time with his family, especially his son, Lincoln. His passion for family, sports, and professional excellence defines his approach to both life and work.

Dominic holds a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Louisiana Tech University. Prior to joining EXT Construction, he gained valuable experience through various roles in residential construction and manufacturing, honing his skills and expertise in the field. Since starting at EXT Construction, Dominic has been an integral part of our team, bringing a wealth of knowledge and a passion for excellence to every project he undertakes. His educational background and diverse work experience make him a versatile and reliable individual committed to delivering high-quality results. Outside of work, Dominic is an avid college football fan and enjoys attending games whenever he can. He is also a talented drummer and loves spending time outdoors, whether hiking, camping, or simply enjoying nature. His dynamic interests and dedication to his craft make him a well-rounded and valued member of our team.

Born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Cardin began his career as a Construction Engineer specializing in commercial inspections. During the pandemic, he transitioned into the field of electrical design, adding to his overall technical proficiency. Eventually, Cardin moved into project estimating, starting in the residential sector before advancing into commercial estimating. In his free time, Cardin enjoys traveling to new places, playing basketball, attending sports games, and keeping up with the latest technology and gadgets.

Chris is the Office Manager at EXT Construction, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at our corporate office. Chris moved to North Carolina with his family at a young age from Santiago, Chile. Throughout his professional journey, Chris has acquired extensive experience and skills in various fields, including information technology, customer support, consulting, management, marketing, and sales. Prior to joining EXT Construction, Chris successfully managed a local Law Firm for over 8 years, demonstrating his leadership and superior organizational abilities. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Chris is an active member of the community, contributing his time and expertise to various initiatives. In his spare time, Chris enjoys reading, repairing computers, working on automobiles, video editing, and spending quality time with his teenage son.

With a genuine passion for building and design which took root right here in North Carolina, Amy brings over a decade of experience in the construction world to her role as Customer Relationships Director at EXT. Being a Tar Heel born and bred, her deep understanding of the local community fuels her work. Beyond her keen eye as an accomplished Interior Designer, Amy is instrumental in growing EXT through business development, shaping our social media presence, and offering invaluable support to our team. Her creative approach and strategic thinking are key to nurturing strong client connections and a thriving team environment. When she's not at EXT, you'll likely find Amy enjoying quality time with her daughter and her adorable Chihuahua, Butterbean. Her personal interests include the thrill of the thrift store hunt, traveling to new places, appreciating and collecting fine art, and keeping everything beautifully organized.

Mo was born in High Point, North Carolina, and raised in Southern California. He is a Project Manager for the Metal Fabrication Division at EXT Construction. After earning a degree in International Security and Conflict Resolution from San Diego State University, Mo began his career in the non-profit sector, working for organizations like the International Rescue Committee and the National Conflict Resolution Center in San Diego. Growing up in a family of metal fabricators, Mo transitioned into the metal industry five years ago, working at a CNC milling shop in Camarillo, California, before relocating to Raleigh, North Carolina. Mo has a deep passion for old-school choppers. Inspired by the culture of Southern California, he started riding a few years ago and took on the challenge of completely customizing his first Harley-Davidson with a friend back in Ventura, California. Mo also enjoys working on engines, watching NASCAR, NHRA drag racing, and spending quality time with family, friends, and his beloved orange tabby cat, Cheeto.

Born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Zach is our newest Account Representative here at EXT Construction. Bringing dedication and hard work, while also cultivating strong relationships through outstanding service. His journey in the flooring industry started as a hands-on warehouse manager, where he gained invaluable insights into product intricacies and business operations. This foundational experience seamlessly transitioned into a fulfilling career in sales, and he now brings that customer-focused expertise to EXT Construction. Zach takes pride in guiding customers through the selection process, ensuring they find the ideal solutions to meet their unique needs for each project. Beyond the office, he is an avid golfer and traveler, exploring new places and spending quality time with family and friends, recognizing the importance of balancing professional dedication with personal well-being.

Born in Honduras and raised in Queens, New York, Daniel brings a unique perspective and a strong work ethic to every project. He is bilingual in Spanish and English, allowing him to communicate effectively and build lasting relationships with diverse teams and clients. Daniel’s technical expertise is extensive and spans across multiple industries. He is highly proficient in blueprint reading, OSHA guidelines, PPE safety, with a deep understanding of commercial construction materials and installation processes. Known for his dependability and attention to detail, Daniel is a natural problem-solver who consistently aims for the highest standards of quality and safety. He has a proven ability to proactively jump in wherever needed to ensure project success. Outside of his professional life, Daniel enjoys an exciting and active lifestyle. He is a devoted UFC and Mixed Martial Arts enthusiast. He also enjoys hiking, running, and reading, with a passion for historical and non-fiction books. This well-rounded approach to life fuels his focus and dedication to his work.
